How We Got Started

Frank Belfsky, the owner of Living at Home SeniorCare, had an experience that really brought home the need for caring support service. Frank Belfsky’s mother-in-law, Earleen, was in a car crash in which she broke her neck. Although assisted living was initially considered, Earleen wanted to be in her own bed at night and her own living room during the day.

Recovering at home meant Earleen needed help with many activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, errand running and transportation. Earleen’s daughter, Adele, was able to assist with some of these activities, but found help was not readily available for when she was not able to be with her mother. What was needed in southern New Hampshire was a great agency from which to receive assisted living at home!

Realizing the great need for reliable, compassionate, exceptional care at home for seniors, people with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury in southern New Hampshire, Living at Home SeniorCare was formed in 2003 as a member of The Senior’s Choice network.

Throughout this home care journey, Frank has had the opportunity to learn the incredible stories of the men and women Living at Home Senior Care has the privilege of serving. Every day he works to ensure that Living at Home SeniorCare is the highest quality home care provider in southern New Hampshire.

How We’re Different

  • State Licensed Home Health Agency

Living at Home SeniorCare is a New Hampshire state licensed home health agency that maintains strict state mandated guidelines for care. In over a decade of state reviews, we have had zero deficiencies.

  • Protecting Our Clients Through Screening and Employing Our Caregivers

Home care services are not all created equally! Many independently-hired caregivers, or those hired through a registry, are not employees of an agency, and therefore, the senior or senior’s family becomes the employer in the eyes of the IRS – resulting in the responsibility for paying applicable payroll taxes, worker’s compensation fees, and more, as well as potential liability if the caregiver is injured while caring for the senior.

Living at Home SeniorCare’s insured and bonded caregivers are employees of the agency, meaning all employer-related obligations are taken care of for you. Additionally, all caregivers are thoroughly screened with background checks and reference checks prior to hire.

Over 50% of our caregivers are Licensed Nurses Aides and many of our caregivers have been with us for 5 years or longer.

  • We Support Our Care Team – Creating the Best Caregiver/Client Relationships

We support our care team through ongoing education through IPCed on a wide variety of aspects of direct client care. Going above and beyond simply completing tasks, our team is comprised of individuals who chose this line of work because of its intrinsic rewards. Client surveys rate our caregivers at “good” or “excellent” over 93% of the time and have a reliability index of 99.69%!

  • Flexibility and Wide Range of Services

We provide loving care from 2 –24 hours per day, including personal care, skilled nursing care, medication management, homemaking, companionship, transportation, and more. We assist people with disabilities as well as elderly clients who may have Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson disease, dementia, stroke, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, hospice patients, and may other age-related infirmities.

  • Medical Care for Clients with Acute Care Requirements

We’re also pleased to provide medical care from our registered and licensed nurses and medical director, services that are typically not offered by in-home care agencies in southern New Hampshire. As a result, we can assist individuals with a full range of acute care requirements, including ongoing care needs for conditions such as CHF and diabetes.
